Frames are a good way to make people really upset. Poorly designed frames will eliminate most traffic on your pages. Most people hate frames. If you plan to use frames then make sure that you have a very good reason. Also, the frames should be transparent to the perception of the user. The problem with frames is simple, inappropriate or excessive use. Many authors that even consider using frames do so for apparently no reason These same authors will not use two or three frames. They want to use as many as possible. If you need more than two or three frames in view then you need to rethink your design. Something must be wrong if you need a bunch of frames. The general public will get completely confused with that many options. They don't want to deal with several different sets of options. And, guess what. They won't deal with that many options. They will look elsewhere. Even if it means that they don't find the information that they are looking for. That probably defeats your purpose.
